Catherine Amoriggi, is a chef and blogger who has a passion for food. This deep love of cooking stems from her Italian heritage and began when she was a toddler and would roll meatballs with her grandparents. As she grew older, she would make dinner with her father every Sunday and they would pretend to be on her cooking show. While some children watched the Disney Channel—Catherine watched Alton Brown, Anthony Bourdain, Jacque Pepin and Lidia Bastianich. Catherine became inspired while dining in the restaurants of top chefs like Danny Meyer, Wolfgang Puck, Daniel Boulud, Mario Batali, Eric Ripert and Bobby Flay. One of her chef inspirations is Michael Symon. Food is so important to Catherine that the thought of people not knowing where their next meal would come from bothered her so much that she decided to do something about it. Last fall she hosted her own event where she cooked, baked, and raised over $3,000 for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. She has also catered events, including the East Greenwich Animal Rescue League fundraiser. These events are special to Catherine because they allow her the chance to give back to her community while doing the thing she loves. For these charitable endeavors, Catherine has been featured on a cooking segment for her local TV show, The Rhode Show. Catherine lives in Warwick, Rhode Island where she continues to update her blog and always has food on her mind!
